FAQ

Why can't I see the entire die anywhere?

In an effort to slow down copyright infringement, we are not currently showing the dies in their entirety. Luckily, there are plenty of beautiful projects by the guest designers to show you the finished product. Given the difficulties small craft companies have faced protecting their designs, we hope you can understand this decision.

Will the kit dies be available separately?

The kit dies are only available in the kits themselves and are not sold separately.

How long are your kits available?

Our seasonal kits retire one year from their debut. The stand-alone dies do not have a set retirement schedule, but any change in their availability will be announced well in advance of their retirement.

Are the retired kits going to be offered again?

We do not have plans to reintroduce any of our retired kits at this time.

The item I want is out of stock. When will it be back?

Sold out products are regularly restocked as long as they are current catalog items (ie: not a retired kit). If something has sold out, it will likely be restocked within 3-4 weeks. We will send out notifications of major restocks via our newsletter, so signing up for that is the best way to receive updates about restocked items.

What if everything else sells out during a new release?

If the kit sells out within the first 24 hours I will open it up for preorder. Otherwise, it will all be restocked as soon as possible. There will not be a preorder for the individual dies or Color Stories. I will send a newsletter when everything is available again. If you want to be notified of a restock, please sign up for our newsletter. You can do that on our homepage in the bottom right corner.

Do you take backorders or have a waiting list?

No, but you can sign up for our newsletter list to receive restock notifications.

What is a "Details" die?

Details dies are companion dies. They coordinate with another die (often called a "Basic" - Basic Heart, Basic Egg, etc). These dies cut details or designs onto a Basic shape. They do not cut the Basic shape. You will need the coordinating Basic die to complete a project.

Are there videos for all of the new products?

No. With very rare exception I only produce instructional videos for the large kits. It's one of the ways we differentiate between the stand-alone dies and the value in a kit. Many of the stand-alone dies do include an Inspiration Guide with design ideas and/or diagrams though.

A die I ordered says it comes with a video, but I didn't get my access email.

In order for the access emails to deliver properly you have to be signed up for the newsletter. If you aren't subscribed or if it still didn't come through, please email customer service for assistance.

I forgot something I wanted to order. Can you add it?

If you forgot something from your order you're going to have to order it separately. I'm afraid I cannot add something for you after checkout. For your safety and mine, I do not have access to your payment information. I do my best to combine orders and refund shipping, but if enough time has lapsed between orders I may not catch the subsequent order(s).

I ordered the wrong color for my kit. Can I change it?

That depends on several factors. In many cases the answer is yes, absolutely, no problem. Unfortunately, sometimes the answer is no (your preferred color palette sold out/your order has already shipped/etc.), but we will do everything we can to accommodate changes.

How long will it take my order to ship?

I do everything I can to get orders out the door as quickly as possible, but I am only one lady so please be patient. Orders placed during high-volume periods (like a new release or major restock) can take from 2-7 business days. Orders placed during lower-volume periods are often shipped the same or next business day.

Which die cut machines are compatible with your dies?

Our dies can be used with any die cut machine that accepts wafer thin steel dies. Some machines (though not a complete list) include: Sizzix Big Shot, Anna Griffin Empress, Spellbinders Platinum 6, Gemini and Gemini Junior. Most personal die cutting machines should work just fine, regardless of whether they are manual or electronic. Digital die cut machines such as the Cricut and Silhouette will not work with our dies.

You may find it helpful to have a metal shim on hand to ensure a clean cut.

What is your angel policy?

You are encouraged to use your Poshta Design dies to create items for sale with a few minor restrictions:

  • You may not use our photos (or the photos of the guest designers) as promotion for your own handmade items. These photos are to be used as inspiration only. All promotional images on your sale items must be your own.
  • All items for sale must be handmade by the owner of the products. Paid workers or automation are not permitted.
  • You may not rent our products. Our tools are for personal use only.
  • The items being sold must constitute a finished product, not individual items intended to be used by the purchaser to create projects. For example, a completed ornament would constitute a finished product, individual pieces and die cut shapes would not, and would therefore violate our policy.
  • Persons participating in Poshta Design Angel Policy assume all liability for suitability of their work and agree to indemnify Poshta Design from disputes arising from their work.
